Basically, there is a compulsory schooling that begins in the year of the sixth year of life and continues up to the age of 18. In this context, there are various fields of education that range from the elementary to tertiary education. The secondary school leaving certificate, which the participants of the qualifying course can acquire, qualifies for dual vocational training, while further deals open larger career opportunities.

The importance of the preparatory courses, such as those offered by the youth center Dachau Ost, becomes particularly clear in this context. They not only offer students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the core subjects, but also promote individual learning development in a supportive environment.
