Von-Melle-Park, Hamburg, Deutschland - The University of Hamburg invites you to the second edition of the Sustainability Week, which will take place from 2nd to June 6, 2025 on the campus of Melle-Park. The event is organized by the university's Sustainability Office and is aimed at students, researchers, teachers, employees of the university and the interested public. The program promises a diverse mix of lectures, discussions, workshops and cultural events.
The Sustainability Week is opened with a live broadcast of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference. A special highlight will be a discussion round in the main church of St. Katharinen, in which well -known experts such as Prof. Dr. Dirk Notz, Steffi Lemke and Birte Lorenzen-Hermann will talk about the endangerment of the seas. The initiative "Sustainability in Science" aims to support the transformation to more sustainability through innovative research projects in which students can also be actively involved.
The Ministry also promotes transdisciplinary approaches that scientists bring together with non-scientific partners to increase the practical applicability of sustainability research. Regional transport companies, producers and suppliers are also integrated into university projects in order to develop low -emission mobility management and resource -saving procurement. Over 100 ambassadors for sustainability at universities have already been trained to make active contributions to climate neutrality.
