Straelen-Hetzert, Deutschland - A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Straelen-Hetzert, when an 82-year-old man from Grevenbroich fell from a larger group during a cycling ride. The accident happened around 1:20 p.m. at the Wachtendonker Straße/Niersstraße intersection for unexplained reasons. Fortunately, external participation is excluded.

The fall led to serious head injuries of the man, who was immediately flown to a clinic in Krefeld with a rescue helicopter. At the time of the transport, however, there was no danger to the person concerned. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident continues.
