Alarm in Wilhelmshaven: apartment burns, residents saved!

Weserstraße, 26384 Wilhelmshaven, Deutschland - On Saturday evening, an apartment on Weserstrasse in Wilhelmshaven was set on fire at around 11:40 p.m. by a pot presumably forgotten on the stove. The apartment owner was awakened from his burning apartment by the police and fortunately saved in time.

Since it is a four -storey apartment building, all residents had to be evacuated. A bus provided by the city temporarily brought the evacuated to other accommodations. The entire building is currently uninhabitable and was confiscated by the police for ongoing fire investigations. Two police officers suffered flue gas poisoning, but were treated in the clinic and could then be released.
