Alcoholized driver escapes! Dramatic persecution on A4 near Bergheim

On Thursday morning, May 29, the motorway police at Bergheim stopped a 28-year-old driver who was supposed to be heavily alcoholic at the wheel of an Audi A7. At 6:25 a.m., the woman became aware of the uncontrolled driving of the vehicle by the police on her way home and informed the operational control center. The driver fled at high speed after seeing the police stopping and steering his car to a parking lot on the Peringsmaar.

There, a 57-year-old walk only escaped one sentence to the side of a collision with the fleeing vehicle. Thanks to her quick reaction, she was able to lead the police to the driver's hiding place in a bush. During the inspection, the police found strong alcohol smell and ordered a blood sample. The Audi was towed and the driver's license and several mobile phones of the driver were secured.
