In Dernbach there was a dramatic incident on May 25, 2025: a 45-year-old who was armed in a psychological exception and with a knife was reported by the police. When the officials arrived, he resisted the arrested bondage and vehemently stood across. The man had been identified as alcoholized - a breath test resulted in alarming 3.1 per thousand.

A blood sample was taken and the man was finally instructed to a psychiatric hospital. A 43-year-old police officer injured his knee in the escalation of the incident, but remained official. The situation once again shows the dangerous challenges with which the police are faced with such layers.
