In Ludwigshafen, a 57-year-old Mercedes-Benz driver was asked to stop at the traffic on the night of May 26, 2025, but ignored the police indicator signals. It was only in Marnheimer Weg that the officials managed to control the vehicle. The driver smelled a lot of alcohol, and a voluntary breath alcohol test showed alarming 1,37 per thousand.

The police prohibited the man on the way and confiscated his driver's license. He was also taken from a blood sample at the police station. Criminal proceedings for drunkenness were initiated against him. The authorities urgently warn of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.
