On Saturday, June 7, 2025, a dramatic traffic accident occurred on the L308 between Vallendar and Höhr-Grenzhausen. At 10:20 a.m. a large tree bast broke off and fell directly onto the road. The driver of an approaching car had no chance to react and collided with the branch. The vehicle was significantly damaged and had to be towed. Fortunately, injuries were not reported, but the incident shows how quickly such dangerous situations can occur.
