On May 26, 2025, a shocking traffic accident with driver escape occurred in the parking lot of the center shop in Niederprüm! Between 2:50 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., a black Passat drove backwards against a parked VW Polo and then turned out of the dust. An independent witness was able to write down the relevant vehicle's license plate, but the attentive observation was too late: the damaged Polo was already gone, and the driver had not noticed the damage when getting in.
