Krefelder Straße, Geldern, Deutschland - A dramatic scene unfolded in Kleve on Monday evening: A 66-year-old driver not only scratched the Krefelder Straße stop, but raced directly into a house with his Toyota Yaris! The terrible impact occurred around 9:40 p.m. and had the bedroom of a 44-year-old resident shake that was sleeping in bed at the moment of the accident. Fortunately, she was unharmed, but the driver suffered serious injuries and had to go to the hospital.

The collision left massive damage to the house wall, which, according to a structural engineer, was classified as not accessible. Firefighters and the technical relief organization hurried to the scene to stabilize the structure. The Toyota had to be towed while the driver, who was tested positively for alcohol, was treated inpatient. The shocked residents of the house had to temporarily stay somewhere else.
