Am Baum, 21029 Hamburg, Deutschland - In Hamburg-Bergedorf, an 89-year-old woman was victim of a perfidious phone fraud. A man called her and pretended to be her son. He claimed to have caused a serious traffic accident and asked the senior citizen a high deposit to escape custody. The elderly lady was instructed to hand over cash and valuables to an alleged police officer to pick them up.

The police found a vehicle of the suspect nearby, which contained further alleged prey from other frauds. The LKA 43 has now taken over the investigation because unitidified valuables were discovered. The police warn and call up citizens who have also fallen into such shock calls to report and to file a complaint.
