Experimental attempt in Köwerich: Clever pensioner convicts phone fraudsters!
Köwerich, Deutschland - A planned telephone fraud in the quiet Köwerich on May 20th ended surprisingly: A 66-year-old hit the perfidious stitch when a fraud called him and claimed that his daughter had caused a fatal traffic accident. The false police officer called for a high deposit to avoid a prison sentence and even warned of alleged suicidal thoughts of the daughter. Instead of panicking, the attentive man asked his wife to alert the real police while continuing the conversation.
When a 19-year-old college of money finally appeared at his home, he was overwhelmed and arrested by officials from the criminal police. The suspect is described as about 1.60 m tall, with dark, curly hair and southern appearance, and wore a white T-shirt and jeans. The Trier police are also looking for other victims of telephone fraudsters who may have been in the same trap in the past few months. Note: Official bodies never demand deposits or valuables!
