in Breisach, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 when a Mercedes driver ignored the right of way of a scooter when turning into Kolpingstrasse. The collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. and led to a fall of the two vehicle occupants of the scooter, which fortunately were only slightly injured.

The police quickly started investigations and found that the Mercedes driver was considerably alcoholic. A quick test resulted in alarming 0.99 per thousand. Her driver's license was retained immediately, and she now faces an advertisement from the Freiburg public prosecutor. The material damage to both vehicles is around 3000 euros.
