The police officers who were quickly consulted contacted the 61-year-old man, who was finally tracked down in his apartment in Herford. But the meeting was anything but encouraging - the officials immediately noticed a strong smell of alcohol! A breath alcohol test brought the shock result: significantly positive! Blood samples were immediately removed, his driver's license was secured and the driving of vehicles was prohibited. The property damage? A proud amount of around 3,000 euros!
