On Sunday morning around 6:50 a.m., a spectacular accident occurred in Detmold: A drunk 22-year-old driver from Augustdorf lost control of his Audi A6 in a left turn. The car raced against the right and left curb before it hit a house wall and a power box with full force. Due to the impact, the car was badly damaged, while the driver was brought to the clinic with an ambulance, where a blood sample was removed. His driver's license is now history!

The consequences of the accident cannot be overlooked: the damage to the power box caused some power outages in Behringstrasse. The municipal utilities were quickly mobilized to repair the leaks and restore the power supply.
