On Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, residents in Illingen-Hüttigweiler became aware of a shocking traffic accident due to a loud bang. An alcoholic 52-year-old man raced with his Audi against a properly parked Mercedes Sprinter. The impact was so violent that the van was pushed forward around ten meters!

The police quickly found that the driver was heavily drunk - with over 2 per thousand in the breath test. Fortunately, he was unharmed, but it gets serious for his dangerous journey: his driver's license was withheld and criminal proceedings were initiated for road traffic. The total damage amounts to an impressive 10,000 euros.
