Hildesheim, Deutschland - On March 31, 2025, a dramatic armed robbery on a savings bank occurred in the city center of Hildesheim. A 42-year-old man is in urgent suspicion of having committed a severe predatory extortion together with a complicity. Thanks to comprehensive investigations by the police, under the direction of the Hildesheim public prosecutor and in cooperation with the Central Criminal Inspectorate in Göttingen, the suspect could still be arrested on the night of the crime.
The 42-year-old was introduced to the judge the following day, the arrest warrant was issued. The man who has no permanent residence in Germany was brought to a correctional facility.
