In an extensive speed measurement campaign in the Märkischer Kreis region, numerous vehicles were checked on June 10, 2025. At several measuring points, including Meinerzhagen, Schalksmühle and Menden, the police registered a total of 2,747 vehicles. The highest measured value was 104 km/h, found on the B54 in Schalksmühle, where the permissible maximum speed was 70 km/h. A total of 41 drivers were documented, which were in the warfare area, while there were five administrative offenses.

In Meinerzhagen, 51 vehicles with speed overrun were recorded in two radar measurements, with the highest value 46 km/h fraud, while 36 drivers were also too fast in Menden-Lendringsen in the Salzweg. There were also measurable violations in several other places, but there were no serious sanctions, such as driving bans. The police continue these controls to increase traffic safety in the region.
