In the Märkische Kreis region, a number of speed measurements were carried out, which provided alarming results. At a total of four locations, including Hemer and Werdohl, numerous vehicles were recorded between June 4, 2025 from 6:54 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. A particularly striking place was Derwentsiderstraße in Werdohl, where incredible 732 cars were measured - with 44 warnings and a highest value of 47 km/h in a 30 km/h range.

in Kierspe-Schnörrenbach, where 2,450 vehicles were examined, there were even 29 administrative offenses, while the speed was measured at partly 67 km/h-and outside of closed towns. While the police did not speak out for driving bans, these numbers impressively show that things are going on the streets in the MK district! The numbers speak for themselves - is it high time for more control?
