In the early morning hours, at 1:30 a.m., a spectacular fire broke out in a company on Arthur-Handtmann-Straße. A machine for aluminum processing, which is operated by a robot in a locked area, ignited. Despite the instant attempts to extinguish the employees, the fire quickly expanded to the entire facility. The Biberach fire brigade was quickly on site and was able to control the full fire quickly.
Fortunately, there are no serious injuries. Nevertheless, several workers, between the ages of 41 and 61, were examined by the emergency services due to flue gases, but a hospital admission was not necessary. The property damage incurred is estimated at several hundred thousand euros.
