Brand in Mannheim: apartment building uninhabitable after fire!

In the early Monday evening, a fire broke out in an apartment building on Relaisstraße in Mannheim-Rheinau, the cause of which has so far been unknown. The fire alarm sounded in an apartment on the fourth floor, and the fire brigade was immediately alerted. Thanks to the rapid commitment of 28 firefighters, the fire was quickly brought under control, the extinguishing work lasted until shortly after 6:00 p.m. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

According to the first estimates, the fire caused property damage of around 20,000 euros, and the affected apartment is temporarily uninhabitable. The Relaisstrasse had to be closed at times during use. Brand investigators from the Mannheim-Neckarau police station have now taken over the investigation to clarify the causes of fire.
