Approach in the student dormitory: Police investigate after a second fire!

On Monday morning, the fire brigade was alerted on Mecklenburger Straße after a witness and a triggered fire detector noticed in the former student dormitory. When the fire brigade arrived, it turned out that a pin board in the vacant building had risen in flames. The damage remained low quickly. The police initiated criminal proceedings for property damage to unknown.

In the evening the big fire! Around 6:30 p.m. the building was already in full fire when the emergency services arrived. The fire brigade fought the flames for several hours. The property damage is estimated at at least 250,000 euros. Investigations indicate arson, and the police do not rule out a connection between the two incidents.
