Unknown perpetrators set fire to stored furniture in the hallway, which led to strong smoke development. Five people suffered minor injuries due to flue gas intoxication, three of them had to be taken to the hospital. The flames caused considerable damage in the building, the costs of which are estimated to be an average to high five -digit amount.

The fire brigade reacted quickly and was able to extinguish the fire, but the Leuchtenburgstrasse and the street of the youth had to be temporarily closed. After the extinguishing work, the residents were able to return to their apartments safely. The police have initiated investigations into serious arson and is looking for witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators.
