Flughafen Düsseldorf, 40474 Düsseldorf, Deutschland - Last weekend, the federal police became active at Düsseldorf Airport and arrested three travelers. The first case concerned a 53-year-old Turkish citizen who wanted to travel to Kayseri on Friday evening. He was checked on the basis of an arrest warrant from the Lüneburg public prosecutor's office from December 2024 due to a violation of the Administrative Offenses Act. In order to escape the compulsory custody of eight days, he paid a fine of 300 euros on site and continued his trip.

On Sunday morning, the federal police came across another traveler sought, a 42-year-old Luxembourg who wanted to fly to Istanbul. He also had an arrest warrant, issued by the Saarbrücken public prosecutor because of a similar violation. He too was able to turn away from one day by paying the fine of 30 euros directly at the airport and then continued his trip.
