Federal Police stops Hungary: fine prevents detention in the border area!

On Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2025, a 35-year-old Hungarian was checked by the federal police on Autobahn 3 at the Knauheide rest area when he came out of the Netherlands. The review of his personal details revealed: The man was sought with an enforcement recruitment warrant for falsification of documents! The district court of Straubing had already sent him a fine of 2,200 euros in 2023 - 110 daily rates of 20 euros each.

The Situation was dangerous for the Hungary, because 95 days of his punishment were still open. However, by immediate payment of the required amount of 1,986 euros, including the procedural costs, he was able to avert the prison sentence and continue his journey without further interruption.
