Federal Police prevent slips: 23 migrants in custody!
In a dramatic campaign, federal police officers stopped several slips from migrants from Eritrea, Somalia, Syria and Afghanistan on June 11, 2025 and took up a total of 23 people. The first arrests took place on the island of Usedom after a citizen gave a hint. There were four Somalier, one Syrian and an Afghan among the ones. Particularly explosive: a 25-year-old Eritreaner who had previously been rejected could be arrested.Only shortly afterwards, near the Löcknitz stop, the officials managed to discover two Eritreans. At the same time, the Polish border guard had a Lithuanian car in its sights from which one group fled - now it is being investigated against the driver due to suspected smuggling. Already on Tuesday, late afternoon, four Somali migrants had been picked up in Schwennenz, who claimed to have entered the Belarus route without papers. These events bring the brutal machinations of the smuggling again.
