On Saturday afternoon (June 7th, 2025), a tumulty incident broke out in Wetter when a 45-year-old Dortmund surprisingly attacked a police officer during a traffic control on Kaiserstrasse. When the officers checked several vehicles because of a transfer ban, the man got into rage and tried to snatch the weapon of a patrol. This brutal assault meant that the police officer was seriously injured.

In the further course of the argument, the attacker also tried to take the gun to a policewoman, which led to a shot fell and fell into a house wall - fortunately without injured. After the use of pepper spray, the man could be arrested, but not enough: at the police station, the aggressive Dortmund resisted again and was finally instructed to a clinic. The Hagen criminal police have taken over the investigation to further clarify the incident.
