Drama at Aileswasensee: Large search for disappeared swimmers!

In a dramatic incident at the Aileswasensee in Neckartailfingen, a large search for a missing swimmer was launched on Sunday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m., exercises of the German Life Rescue Society (DLRG) observed a man who desperately beat the water surface. A little later it disappeared under the surface. Extensive rescue workers were immediately alerted, including 38 DLRG forces, 30 firefighters and several patrol cars to clarify the bathing accident.

The emergency services searched for several hours with boats, sonar devices and divers for the swimmer. A police helicopter circled over the lake and supported the search out of the air, but all efforts were unsuccessful. That is why the Aile Wasensee will initially be closed until June 11, 2025. The DLRG plans to continue the search measures during this time. Witnesses who have information about the incident or swam at the time in question are urgently asked to report to the Nürtingen police station.
