Drama on the A3: Electric car burns - driver seriously injured!

On Friday afternoon, at 1:10 p.m., a frightening fire broke out in an electric vehicle on Autobahn 3 towards Cologne. Between the Breitscheid motorway junction and the Ratingen-Ost junction, there was a dangerous deflusion during the journey, which immediately let the car open on fire. The driver managed to save himself from the burning car, but suffered serious injuries and was flown to a special clinic with a rescue helicopter.

The Ratingen fire brigade was quickly on hand and was able to control the fire immediately thanks to the latest technology. A special fire truck, the "Cobra", was used to cool the dangerous batteries of the electric vehicle with water lever and high pressure to prevent explosion. In addition to the professional fire brigade, there were also voluntary units and the emergency services on site while the motorway police ensured security.
