On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on the A448 near Bochum. The fire brigade was alerted at 5:36 p.m. when five cars were involved in a dramatic collision. Among the vehicles were also two drives. A total of eight people were involved, and three of them had to be transported to the hospital after an immediate first medical care.

The fire brigade not only carried out the accident site, but also ensured fire protection and the primary care of the injured. Sixteen emergency services, supported by three ambulances and an emergency doctor vehicle, were on site to cope with the situation. The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear and are currently being examined by the police. The mission ended around 6:30 p.m.
