A spectacular traffic accident caused chaos early Tuesday morning on Autobahn 8 at the Stuttgart-Airport/Messe junction! An unknown truck driver overlooked a tractor-trailer when changing lanes, which led to a dramatic alternative maneuver and a violent crash. The 49-year-old tractor driver could not prevent his vehicle from skidding and collided with the protection plank. The result? A torn tarpaulin that hurled about 30 beverage crates onto the road and caused an estimated property damage of 12,500 euros

The highway was partially closed until around 11:30 a.m. towards Karlsruhe, which generated a backlog of almost 15 kilometers! Witnesses of the incident are urgently asked to report to the Ludwigsburg Transport Police Inspection. The chaos on the highway was unmistakable, while the street cleaning and overload took place by the THW. A day that was planned very differently for many commuters!
