Drama on the B 38: Police patrol car ram by Peugeot!

on Saturday evening at 9:50 p.m. there was a spectacular accident on the B 38 in Mannheim-Käfertal. Two vehicles with switched on warning indicators stood on their right lanes when a 21-year-old carelessly crashed into the rear of a patrol car with his Peugeot. The impact was violent enough that the Peugeot in the engine compartment caught fire! Fortunately, the driver managed to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher carried before the fire brigade arrived.

In the incident, the 21-year-old and a 20-year-old police officer who was sitting in the patrol car at the time of the accident were slightly injured. Both were immediately taken to adjacent clinics. The total damage amounts to around 85,000 euros, and both the Peugeot and the patrol car must now be towed. The investigation into the cause of the holding of the two cars is still underway and are managed by the Mannheim transport service.
