Drama in Hambrücken: 72 firefighters save workshop in front of flames!

On Saturday evening, a violent fire raged in a locksmith workshop in the district of Karlsruhe, which called over 70 firefighters from Hambrücken and the surrounding area. The fire brigade was alerted shortly after 9:30 p.m. when the flames already hit several windows on site. Thanks to the quick intervention, the emergency services were able to quickly control the fire, whereby the roof also had to be opened to extinguish all the foci.

The assignment was particularly challenging because all work could only be carried out with breathing apparatus. Support came from additional fire trucks and special devices from Bruchsal. Mayor Dr. Marc Wagner and the deputy district fire chief Bernd Molitor were also on site and were relieved that no one was injured despite the risk of gas bottles. Wagner praised the emergency services for their excellent work under these difficult conditions.
