Drama in Krefeld: Tragic apartment fire demands a life!

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, a terrible apartment fire was reported. Local residents of the apartment building on Evertsstraße alerted the fire brigade at 3:00 a.m. when they discovered flames from an apartment on the second floor. Thanks to the fast reaction of the fire brigade, the fire was quickly brought under control before it attacked neighboring apartments.

Unfortunately, the commitment to the resident of the fire -affected apartment brought tragic news: it was found lifeless by the firefighters. The emergency services carried out the extinguishing work for about an hour and a half before the site was handed over to the police to determine the fire.
