Drama in Mainz: Fire brigade in action - lifeless person found on the slope!
Lerchenberg, Deutschland - On June 12, 2025, the Mainz fire brigade was called for a dramatic effort on Lerchenberg, where a lifeless person was discovered in an overgrown slope area. Despite immediately initiated resuscitation measures, the person died on site. The exact circumstances that led to this tragic incident remain unclear. To protect the view and look after first aiders, privacy protection and psychosocial emergency care were used. A total of 16 firefighters were used with 4 vehicles.
In further operations, the fire brigade also had to react to other emergencies. A triggered smoke detector was found in a residential building in Elsa-Brändström-Straße, but only burned food was identified as the cause, and intervention was not necessary. In addition, an approximately 20 cm long snake was discovered in a department store, which was secured by employees and transferred to the shelter. Small inserts such as smoke alarms and door openings in connection with emergency calls were also registered. Overall, the fire brigade was used in seven missions on these days, with no major damage caused.
