In a shocking incident in Uelzen, a 47-year-old man in his apartment has barricaded himself while he was to be consulted for a medical assessment. The police were called at 2:30 p.m. when the man who has increasingly showed psychological abnormalities in the past few days refused to open the door. Instead, he barricaded himself and did not give in.

The alarm measures were quickly initiated. A special team from Lüneburg arrived and was forced to open the apartment door and a room door with a ram. The assignment was dramatic: the man was finally overwhelmed with the help of the immediate coercion and brought to the psychiatric clinic. Fortunately, there were no further injuries.
