Dramatic traffic accident at Gershasen: three injuries and major use!

On Tuesday afternoon, June 3, 2025, the fire brigade and emergency services were called for a dramatic traffic accident on Kreisstraße 73 near Gershasen. At 2:03 p.m. the emergency services arrived and found an injured person who was luckily not trapped in their vehicle. The fire brigade was able to free the driver from her car without having to use technical aids.

there were also forces from Gershasen, Sainscheid and Wengenroth on site. They were supported by the Westerburg, Bad Marienberg ambulance as well as an emergency doctor and the rescue helicopter Christoph 23 from Koblenz. The district road was completely closed during the operation because considerable damage to property was caused by the vehicles involved. The police started the investigation into the cause of the accident, and the fire brigade ended around 4:00 p.m.
