A 37-year-old man from Essen was observed when trading narcotics at the busy intersection Viehofer Straße / Schützenbahn. When the suspect noticed the police, he fled towards the horse market. But the attempt to escape the arrest failed - the police officers found him at the intersection and arrested him for the time being.

In the course of the investigation, drugs and a pepper spray were ensured. A judge then issued a search decision for the suspect's apartment on Berliner Strasse.
