Drug test strikes: E-scooter driver caught in Northeim!

On Monday, June 9, 2025, the Northeim police carried out two traffic controls that caused a sensation. First a 22-year-old driver was stopped on the B241 when he was traveling between Katlenburg and Northeim. Shortly afterwards, around 4:50 p.m., another patrol stopped a 24-year-old e-scooter driver in Northeim, who stated that he had consumed THC about a week ago.

When checking the e-scooter driver, physical tests were alarming. The suspicion that the 24-year-old was under the influence of THC was confirmed by a positive urine test. The police assume that such controls are the key to security on the streets.
