In the night from Sunday to Monday, around 4:35 a.m., a 23-year-old e-scooter driver in Ilmenau was targeted by the police. During a routine check on the Mühltor, a voluntary breath alcohol test showed alarming 1.16 per thousand. The young man's journey was immediately prevented and a blood sample was ordered. Now he is facing legal consequences due to drunkenness in road traffic.
