In a gripping night, the police in Kappel arrested a suspected burglar! The 39-year-old Russ residing in France was caught shortly after a break-in into a kiosk at the Kappel-Grafenhausen border crossing. The alarm system hit around 3:20 a.m., but the perpetrators had already fled when the police arrived.

In the event of an immediately initiated search, the officials noticed a Citroen with a French license plate, whose driver accelerated at the sight of the police and was left behind at the town hall after an accident. The burglars desperately tried to save themselves. At 4 a.m., the police finally discovered one of the suspects in the cemetery while his accomplice escaped over the fields.
