Purified passenger: Fire brigade Lehrte saves after elaborate action!

On Friday evening, May 23, 2025, the local fire brigade was called for a dramatic operation at the train station at 10:09 p.m. A passenger who was traveling to Braunschweig in a Westfalenbahn had stuck with his hand between a footlap and a side panel. The desperate situation arose when his airpods fell on the floor and slipped into a gap, which triggered the predicament.

When the fire brigade arrived, it was clear that the liberation would be anything but easy. The man's hand was so swollen that the rescue measures with standard funds were not sufficient. To save it, firefighters first had to remove a luggage rack and seats and finally remove the armrest with a saber saw. After around an hour and a half of intensive work, the emergency services were able to open the side cladding as far as the person was released. Finally, the injured and his recovered AirPods was handed over to the emergency services. A total of 11 firefighters as well as the police and emergency services were deployed.
