Successful fire service exercise in the St. Joseph House: Safety in an emergency!
Griethausen, Deutschland - On June 5, the Kleve volunteer fire brigade carried out an unexpected alarm exercise in the St. Joseph House in Griethausen to test its operational readiness. The first emergency services arrived within just six minutes after the alarm and carried out a comprehensive exploration. The level of operations was quickly increased to B3, and the aerial ladder of the Kellen fire brigade was alerted to simulate human rescues and increase the operational strength.
A respiratory protection squad quickly discovered an unconscious person in a smoky hallway and brought them to safety. The fire was successfully fought after the cause of the fire was also identified in a resident room. The exercise was carried out in a controlled, professional environment, whereby speed was dispensed with to avoid any damage. The head of operations, Daniel Scholz, and other managers expressed a positive statement about the implementation, the cooperation and necessary improvements that were identified by the exercise. Special thanks went to the St. Joseph House for the hospitality during the exercise.
