In early Wednesday morning, May 29, 2025, a 32-year-old driver from Rhauderfehn was checked by the Friesoythe police in Barßel. The driver, who was traveling on the main street at around 2:10 a.m., was significantly under the influence of alcohol. A breath alcohol test resulted in alarming 0.61 per thousand.

The police prohibited the man on the way and initiated an administrative offense procedure against him. This control once again underlines the need for responsible driving and the determined attitude of the police against alcohol at the wheel.
