Essingen, Deutschland - On May 31, 2025, a shocking accident on the K42 occurred at 10:55 a.m. A 57-year-old woman who was traveling with her Seat wanted to turn right towards Offenbach at the confluence with the L542. In doing so, she overlooked a 58-year-old cyclist who drove her in front of the radiator hood and the collision occurred.

The cyclist fell and suffered minor injuries. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he had to be treated. The police initiated criminal proceedings for negligent bodily harm to the driver.
