Cyclists seriously injured: truck crashes in Essener on Herner Strasse!

Rathausstraße, 44629 Herne, Deutschland - in Herne occurred on Friday afternoon, June 6th, a serious traffic accident, in which an 84-year-old cyclist from Essen suffered significant injuries. The senior was on the bike path of Rathausstraße in the direction of Wanne-Eickeler Hauptbahnhof at 2:45 p.m. when a 48-year-old truck driver from Gelsenkirchen at the Rathausstraße/Berliner Strasse intersection turned right and collided with the cyclist.

Because of the accident, the intersection had to be blocked, which led to traffic redirects. Investigations by the police are underway to clarify the exact process of the incident.
