Bicycle accident in Karlsruhe: 33-year-old suffers serious injuries

A 33-year-old cyclist seriously injured himself on a dramatic fall on a gravel path in Karlsruhe on Tuesday morning. At around 8:30 a.m. he drove from Gartenstraße towards Südendstrasse when he noticed an oncoming cyclist too late due to a vehicle parked on the side of the road. In a desperate attempt to slow down in time, he lost control of his bike and fell.

The accident led to several abrasions and a serious leg injury to the cyclist. Fortunately, according to initial investigations, there was no collision with the oncoming cyclist. The police have started the investigation to clarify the exact approach of the accident.
