On Sunday, June 1, 2025, a traffic accident at the Leiniger Straße/Königsbacher Strasse intersection in Rheinhessen occurred around 1:30 p.m. A 63-year-old cyclist drove the bike path towards Maudacher Straße and wanted to turn left into Königsbacher Strasse. However, she overlooked the priority of a 43-year-old driver who drove in the same direction. There was a violent collision in which the cyclist fell and slightly injured.

The injured woman was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. The material damage is estimated at around 1,200 euros. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
