Bicycle accident in Wangen: child injured, driver escapes!

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a dangerous incident occurred in Praßbergstrasse in Wangen im Allgäu in which a 14-year-old boy was injured on his children's bike. The accident happened around 5:38 p.m. when an unknown car driver overtook the boy and adhered to a dangerously low safety distance. The boy lost their balance and fell, but fortunately there was no direct collision with the vehicle.

The driver, however, fled from the scene of the accident without permission without taking care of the injured boy. A passerby discovered the boy lying on the ground, who was taken to the hospital due to his shoulder injury and various grazes.
