Family drama in Hamburg: Man jumps out of the window after a knife attack

on Whit Monday, June 9, 2025, there was a tragic incident in the Hamburg House of House. A violent family dispute broke out in an apartment, in which a 26-year-old Latvian citizen injured both himself and his 50-year-old father with a knife. The conflict ended in a catastrophe: the young man fled into the stairwell of the high -rise building and presumably fell out of the 15th floor, obviously with suicidal intentions.

The investigation was initiated immediately by the criminal service (LKA 26) and a little later taken over by the Murder Commission (LKA 41) in close cooperation with the public prosecutor. The exact background of the argument is currently unclear.
